Industry figureheads to discuss future of events in London

Representatives from the London 2012 Olympic Games, ISES and the Mayor's Office will discuss the capital's event potential at Excel London next week.

The forum, a joint initiative by ISES and the Mayor of London's Office, will coincide with the official launch of ICC London Excel on Thursday 24 June.

The panel will consider London's position as a leader in live events, the conclusions being passed on to the Mayor's team to use as part of its strategy to build the on city's success in the market.

The event is expected to attract an audience of event industry CEO's, owners and directors and will be moderated by Robert Wright, ISES board advisor and managing director of PR firm Davies Tanner.

The full line-up of speakers includes:

Dan Ritterband, director of marketing for the Mayor of London

Bill Morris, director of culture, ceremonies and education, London 2012 Olympic Games

Amanda Jobbins, vice president European marketing, Cisco

Sarah Wright, head of events, Barclays

Richard Foulkes, incoming president, ISES and director of Imagination

Kim Myhre, ISES board advisor and senior vice president of George P. Johnson

The forum will take place at 9am prior to the launch of the ICC London Excel.
