Ingram makes two senior hirings

Ingram, the strategic branding and communications agency, has made two senior appointments.

Lisa Aitken, one of the founders of the Naked Communications and WCRS joint venture Element, is joining the company as an associate partner.

During her time at Element, which she helped to launch as a communications strategist in December 2004, Aitken has worked on clients including BMW, Mini and Heinz.

Ingram has also hired the former Starcom planner Duncan James as a strategist. James was the ideation and innovation manager for Starcom EMEA and, before that, worked as a marketing strategist for Ford Europe.

The appointments are likely to be followed by the hiring of a managing director for Ingram's UK office. Chris Ingram, the founder of the company, said it had reached shortlist stage for the position. The role has been created following expansion into New York and Hong Kong.

Ingram has been hiring following recent account wins including Diageo, Orange, IPC Media and Waitrose.

Ingram said: "What the company is about is a blend of brand and communications strategy, which are usually kept separate. These are two people who we have identified as having that breadth."
