Initiative Asia appoints Fitzgerald as regional director

LONDON - Initiative Asia Pacific has appointed Robert Fitzgerald to the new post of regional director for North Asia, reporting directly to King F Lai, chief operating officer for the region.

Fitzgerald has worked in Asia and Europe in senior roles on brands including Unilever, Coca-Cola, Mars and McDonald's.

He was responsible for establishing the Procter & Gamble AOR in Guangzhou and running the strategic planning on Coca-Cola in China. Most recently he worked at OMD China. He joins Initiative as a member of its Asia Council.

Lai said: "Initiative Asia has grown by 45% since 2002 and the network has expanded significantly. Key to our 'expect more' promise is to recruit the best talents in the industry. We are therefore extremely pleased to have Rob join our Asia Pacific team.

"His exceptional work has been recognised by the industry and won him some leading awards. In Rob's role of North Asia regional director, Rob’s vast experience will help to interrogate and identify business insights on our clients' business. He will support our continuing growth."
