I was going to really destroy this site but after going back a few
times, I decided it was actually quite good - but, hey, that’s what
happens when you start seeing Peter Andre’s picture several times on one
site.
The best bits are Box Talk, a chat area where you can ask your favourite
pop stars questions and see the replies, and Box Tops, with integrated
graphics from the TV show and up-to-date chart info. I couldn’t load the
Box Music Machine, but then I’ve got no patience.
Some failings are down to the marketing/branding decisions here. For
example, I would like to see some grassroots content or content trades
to make it a rounder experience. I left feeling a little sold-to. In a
world where your relationship with customers is based on regular
involvement, I hazard a guess that this site is not getting much back
traffic. But digital TV may be the making of this site as it has
potential for video-on-demand and product purchase.
