And all high street music chains should take note. Amazon.com is

changing the way books are purchased in the US; this site should change

the way CDs and videos are sold in Europe. No huge overheads mean Web

businesses can sell cheaper. Hurrah.



Except Music Shop isn’t actually that cheap. Low prices quoted shoot up

when VAT and shipping are added (pounds 1.99 for a first CD, 99p for

additional ones).



And, as a client reminds me, amazon.com succeeded through grassroots

advertising promotion on the Web. I was oblivious to Music Shop before

this review and I spend more than 20 hours a week surfing. ’Nuff

said.
