It’s probably only fair to admit upfront that I’m no great fan of
rugby, but I’ve tried to cast an objective eye over this site. The first
thing that strikes you is the sheer lack of any design criteria, unless
it’s deliberately cheesy - which I doubt. It just looks cheap. The site
is useful and offers lots of rugby facts and figures on clubs, players,
fixtures and results. It also does a good job of explaining the set-up
for rugby this season: the new Allied Dunbar divisions one and two.
What is a pretty unexciting site is rescued by the ’caption competition’
in the Clubhouse. Here we see brief glimpses of that wit for which
rugger buggers are famous. However, I couldn’t try out the ’chat’ room
as the server collapsed and the referee awarded a penalty try. All in
all, a bit lacklustre.
