It is actually quite a small site specifically for an awards scheme

sponsored by Saatchis to reward technological innovation in

communication. The only nod towards Saatchis as an agency is a list of

addresses (not even links) to their many other offices around the


It has beautiful and contemporary graphics, animated through good use of

Shockwave Flash. It also has several clever navigation bars. This is

where advertising people and designers part. Our job is to make

complicated things simple and, to us, this site makes a simple thing


In essence, it’s an awards scheme brochure - complicated at the best of

times. The awards scheme is impressive. Its suggested criteria are

’simple, clear and practical’, which should have been applied to both

designing the site and writing the copy which is embarrassingly

pretentious. (Beautiful type though.)
