Ann Murray Chatterton, joint chairman of Jaffe Keating, which went

into voluntary liquidation two months ago, is to head the training

programme at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.

As director of training and development, she takes over from Miranda

Kennett, who has ended a six-year association with the IPA to take a

full-time role at the Coaching House, a training company for senior

executives.

Murray Chatterton has considerable experience in the training field,

having been a tutor on IPA training programmes and chairman of the

training committee of the Women’s Advertising Club of London.

Nick Phillips, director general of the IPA, said: ’Throughout her

career, Ann has had a strong commitment to the training and development

of agency people. We are very pleased that the IPA has secured her, to

maintain the commitment to excellence on our courses and to encourage

professional development in IPA agencies.’

Murray Chatterton’s 20-year career includes spells at DMB&B and

Marshalls Advertising, where she became chief executive. She said: ’I’m

delighted to be joining the IPA at a time when its courses are enjoying

a high reputation. Building up joint training with clients is also a

tremendous prospect.’
