The appointments follow the shake-up of IPC's senior management team earlier this week, which saw, among other appointments, Evelyn Webster promoted from publishing director of IPC's country and equestrian titles to managing director of Country & Leisure Media.
Fiona Dent, currently commercial director for Web User, has been promoted to publishing director of Country Life and its equestrian titles including Horse & Hound.
Dent joined IPC in 1992 and has held a number of marketing and publisher posts within the division before launching Web User in 2001.
"Fiona is a real asset to the Country & Leisure Media senior management team. She has a proven track record of innovative brand development, is highly experienced, tenacious and consistently delivers great results. I know I am leaving these valuable brands in very safe hands," Webster said.
Angela O'Farrell, marketing director for the division, has extended her role and takes on the additional title of publishing director of Web User and Hi Fi News.
O'Farrell joined IPC in 2001 as head of marketing for Web User and was promoted to marketing director across the division's portfolio of magazines in December 2002.
She joined IPC from web agency Modem Media and has also worked at a number of London advertising agencies, including HHCL & Partners on brands such as Mothercare, Orange, Thomson Holidays and Guinness.
"I am delighted to be able to extend her responsibilities into the publishing arena. It's a big job, but I know Angela is up to it," Webster said.
Since Auton was named chief executive last month, she has axed the company's marketing director role and promoted Philippa Brown to managing director of IPC tx and handed IPC Advertising's Georgina Crace the additional post of managing director of Wallpaper.
Linda Genower has retired as managing director of IPC Connect to be replaced by Caroline Ward, former head of Brown's division IPC tx.
