- ITN has joined forces with Match, a leading UK sports magazine, and Reuters' SportsWeb service to produce an Internet site for the France 98 World Cup.

The service will incorporate video footage of the latest goals scored, a news ticker, audio coverage of the home teams' matches, statistics, player information and an interactive management game.

On offer from ITN will be sports correspondent Graham Miller's audio assessments of the England and Scotland teams prior to their matches, together with audio/video reports of matches and video specials from ITN correspondents throughout France.

Reuters SportsWeb will provide up-to-date reports on all matches plus other F98 news throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, Match magazine's Matchfacts.com has developed a comprehensive round up of the finalists, qualification routes, tournament schedule, World Cup history and current betting odds.

Matchfacts.com is also contributing its unique Virtual Match management game. This will exactly mirror the World Cup tournament and create head-to head fixtures for participating managers who really know their football. To add to the interest, site users will find themselves drawn to play against a squad managed by one of a team of participating celebrities.

Finally, there's a Match World Cup results chart screen-saver, together with a forum to allow fans to share their views of the tournament.
