ITV "Television" by Uncommon Creative Studio

ITV journeys through television's history to highlight key moments it has played a role in British culture.

The ad is narrated by Sir Trevor McDonald, the ITV newsreader and journalist, and spans the 1960s to 2019. From gay pride demonstrations in the 1970s to Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper appearing as the first transgender character in a British soap, the film’s message is that "we are changed by what we see. Just as we are changed when we are seen." The work was directed by Billy Boyd Cape through Academy.
