iXL acquires Spanish agency

- iXL, the US new media network, has expanded its European presence with the acquisition of Campana New Media, one of Spain's leading interactive new media companies.

The acquisition of CNM is part of iXL's strategy to become a dominant player in Europe. It began its expansion with the acquisition of the UK new media company, Denovo, and the establishment of its European headquarters in London at the end of last year.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CNM was formed at the beginning of 1997 and its clients include Glaxo Wellcome, Coca-Cola and the Spanish Ministry of Environment.
