JCDecaux acquires Allam site portfolio

JCDecaux has acquired the Allam Group, one of the UK's oldest independent outdoor advertising companies, in a multimillion-pound deal.

The outdoor media owner will inherit Allam's portfolio of large-format sites used by clients ranging from local authorities and property developers to private landlords.

The panels are located in key areas around the country's major cities and already form a key part of JCDecaux's large-format networks. JCDecaux has had an agreement with Allam since 1996 to sell the company's 2,500 panels.

Lawrence Haines, the managing director of JCDecaux's Large Format division, said: "This acquisition is excellent news for us, giving us further scope to invest in illumination, scrolling backlights and Premiere sites."
