John Ayling & Associates is relaunching Jeyes Fluid with a national

television campaign that breaks this week.

Jeyes used to be a familiar TV advertiser - regularly buying four-week

campaigns of 400 ratings - but it has not advertised on the medium for

three years.

Steve Venes, John Ayling’s television buying director, is running a test

campaign for Jeyes on all national TV channels except Channel 5. He will

be aided by buying assistant Sam Warr.

Venes hopes the test ad campaign will result in the advertiser being

seen more frequently on TV.

’Hopefully Jeyes is testing the water and will be back on TV again

soon,’ said Venes.

Jeyes is using two executions, one for Citrus Clear in hard water areas

and the other for Jeyes Bloo in soft water areas. The creative will

feature Julian Clary.

The last Jeyes advertising campaign was for Jeyes Parozone bleach range,

which spent the whole of its pounds 335,000 budget on press.

Venes said Jeyes Fluid is also planning to use press for the new

campaign.

The Jeyes account is headed by agency director Stephen Stokes.

Soho-based John Ayling & Associates employs 32 staff and is chaired by

John Ayling. Brian Labbett is the media director.

The agency is also responsible for planning and buying for Austin Reed,

Meccano, De Agostini partworks, De Longhi appliances and Perfect Pizza.
