Jones Mason Barton Antenen has poached Rod Marsh, an award-winning

senior art director at Rapier, to partner the start-up’s creative

director, Simon Antenen.

Marsh’s appointment reunites the pair, who were colleagues at Limbo,

although this is their first creative partnership. At Limbo, Marsh

worked on the agency’s flagship Audi client.

He then joined Evans Hunt Scott, where he was a creative group head on

the RAC, BMW and Sun Alliance - for which he won a John Caples

award.

At Rapier, Marsh was part of the team which won the Cable & Wireless

account and also worked on Eurostar, Barclays Bank and Direct Line. The

C&W work won gold at the Direct Marketing Awards last year.

Antenen said: ’There are so many people who take an idea and then art

direct it out of existence. Rod is very strong on the ideas. He comes up

with his own and makes everything very simple, clean and fresh.’

Marsh commented: ’It’s a fantastic opportunity. I’m interested in the

big ideas and being able to spin them off into the appropriate media -

which is something that I will be able to do at Jones Mason.

’I am convinced that as consumers become increasingly brand-aware, the

successful agencies and their clients will be the ones who know how to

talk to consumers, but who also know how to get results at a response

level.’
