Bob Jeffrey, the worldwide chief executive of JWT, confirmed the agency's decision to its staff in an internal e-mail last night.

The decision means that the shortlist for the $200 million account now only consists of Euro RSCG, Ogilvy and Young & Rubicam.

The three agencies, along with JWT, pitched for the business a month ago in a process handled by the AAR.

McCann Erickson, Universal McCann and MRM, the global incumbents on the account, were not asked to repitch.

An agency was expected to have been appointed to the business earlier this month, but talks are still ongoing.
