- Robert Kantor, the president of Lowe & Partners/SMS in New York, is to leave the agency on acrimonious terms after less than five months in the job.
In a statement released following his resignation yesterday, Kantor said: he was leaving "to work at an undisclosed, exciting and dynamic organisation".
He said he had the desire to "work with a team that has the vision and dedication to create a great agency." He added: "It became clear to me that this was not the right environment to accomplish my goals."
Kantor joined Lowe from Publicis in mid-August. Lowe chairman and chief creative officer, Lee Garfinkel, who confirmed Kantor's exit, was reported as saying his departure was in the best interests of the agency.
