Karmarama hires Adam Kean as executive creative director

Karmarama has hired the industry veteran Adam Kean as its executive creative director.

Kean will report to Nik Studzinski, Karmarama’s chief creative officer, and fills some of the gap left by the summer departures of Caitlin Ryan, Sam Walker and Joe De Souza, the executive creative directors.

Kean most recently worked at Crispin Porter & Bogusky London but left in February. He was a European creative director on Milka, which was one of the agency’s biggest accounts until the brand moved its business to Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam.

Kean began his career at Saatchi & Saatchi in 1987, working on accounts including Castlemaine XXXX, Habitat and the Army. He was promoted to executive creative director before leaving to work at Wieden & Kennedy and Publicis.

Karmarama has also hired Adam Whitaker as a creative director. Whitaker began his career writing jokes for greeting cards and most recently worked at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.

Studzinski said: "In Adam and Adam, I have two of the most awarded and nicest Adams in the industry. They are going to brilliantly complement the talent we already have at Karmarama."
