Katherine Whitton

Barclaycard

Chief marketing officer

Whitton became CMO of Barclaycard in the summer of last year after five years with the brand. She has more than two decades of marketing experience, working primarily within financial services and the travel industry for British Airways, Eurostar, Virgin Atlantic and American Express. This year, Whitton has overseen diverse marketing activity, from an April Fool’s Day prank that included ‘contactless gnomes’ to a campaign featuring comedian Jason Manford telling people how to "get more out of today". She is inspired by the "possibility of what technology has to offer and the impact that this will have on our lives".
