Kuropatwa hired for new-business role with Delaney Lund

Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners has appointed Alex Kuropatwa as its client services and business development director, cementing his position within the agency after six months on a freelance contract.

Kuropatwa's brief is to strengthen DLKW's account management team, build on its existing clients and bring in more new work in the newly created role of business development director. He will work alongside the new-business director, Minna Walker, reporting to the chief executive, Mark Lund.

Kuropatwa joined DLKW on a freelance basis six months ago, following the departure of its former new-business director, Helen Weisinger, to TBWA/London.

He joined Delaney Fletcher Bozell as a graduate in 1994 and stayed for four years before joining McKinsey & Company as a consultant. Kuropatwa took an MBA at Harvard, and then went to South Africa to set up a diamond-polishing factory.

"I can't think of a more exciting agency to be at than DLKW right now - it's been very busy on the new-business front recently, Kuropatwa said.

Lund added: "Alex is a great addition to our team. He's very clever and highly entrepreneurial."
