The Labour Party has parted company with Brann London and

consolidated all its advertising and direct marketing work into TBWA,

which is already handling the party’s advertising for the general

election.

Labour said it had parted with Brann on good terms. ’It makes sense to

put all our work into one agency,’ a Labour spokesman said.

No budget has been fixed for direct marketing, but the agency will be

involved in boosting membership and fundraising before handling general

election mailshots.

Direct marketing will be handled by the TBWA Direct chairman, Peter

Herd, and the chief executive, Mike Cornwell, while Trevor Beattie, the

creative director of TBWA GGT Simons Palmer, will co-ordinate the

creative work above and below the line.

’We are confident that they are personally committed,’ the spokesman

said.
