The Labour Party spoofs 50s science-fiction films in a TV campaign attacking the Liberal Democrats over its part in the Coalition Government. Lucky Generals created the humorous spot, which is nearly four minutes long and shot in black and white. The ad is set in a Cabinet Office meeting dominated by Conservative ministers. An actor playing the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, initially tries to assert himself on matters such as tuition fees but gradually drops his convictions and, in the process, begins to shrink until he is the size of a pencil. The work was directed by Ric Cantor through Hungry Man.
