The UK's largest online database of late-availability hotel rooms has launched onto the web in a challenge to Lastminute.com.
Since launching to the UK hotel trade less than a month ago, the service claims to have signed up more than 500 hotels and now features over 50,000 reduced rate rooms on its website.
The online service was created by Manchester based agency, Walsh Simmons, and goes live today (Monday) at www.laterooms.com. It allows both business and leisure travellers to search for the best deals available by location and by date.
The service claims it poses a serious challenge to Lastminute, which offers last-minutes deals on a range of goods and services. Steve Walsh, senior partner at Walsh Simmons, said: "Lastminute, which after trading for over a year offers far fewer UK hotels in comparison."
