Stuart Leach, the former deputy managing director of

McCann-Erickson, has joined another Interpublic Group agency,

Interfocus, as a board director.

Leach, who was at McCann for only six months, left the agency in

December following a restructure and the formation of the

McCann-Erickson UK Group.

’Interfocus has got to be the agency world’s best kept secret,’ Leach

said. ’Its calibre of clients - which include Lloyds TSB, Bass, Van den

Bergh Foods, BAA, London Transport and Sony - is matched only by its

staff’s credentials which encompass almost every leading advertising and

communication agency in the UK. I’m proud to be part of the agency.’

Matthew Hooper, Interfocus’s managing director, said: ’Stuart’s strength

and what he brings to the agency is his traditional above-the-line kudos

combined with a through-the-line heritage. He is a great asset to the

agency.’

Leach joined McCann from Joshua where he helped to implement the merger

of Grey Integrated and Grey Direct to form Joshua in November 1998.
