Leagas and 180 link with <BR>networks for Adidas pitch

LONDON - Leagas Delaney has teamed up with DDB Worldwide in a bid to win the $100 million global account for Adidas.

Fellow roster agency, Amsterdam-based 180, has linked with TBWA\ to pitch against Leagas Delaney after Adidas said it wanted to consolidate and save money.

Leagas now has the resources of the DDB network, including its creative director Bob Scarpelli, to work on the pitch. 180 is thought to be tapping TBWA\Chiat\Day's California agency, creatively headed by Lee Clow.

Other networks thought to have been rejected by Adidas include Young & Rubicam, Lowe Lintas, Leo Burnett and McCann-Erickson.
