Leagas Delaney has launched a standalone internet design company
called Media Direction.
The 12-strong team previously operated in-house but growth has forced it
to move to a separate location.
The unit has run websites for a number of Leagas Delaney clients,
including Adidas and Patek Philippe. However, it will now offer its
services to a wider audience.
Media Direction will be headed by the managing director, James Waite,
who joined Leagas Delaney as a consultant in 1995. Other key staff
include the creative director, Jaki Porter, and the senior account
director, Paul Grier. Both freelanced at Leagas Delaney on new media
before joining the new company full time.
Tim Delaney, Leagas Delaney’s creative director, said: ’The new-media
sector is booming but the number of companies it has spawned makes it
difficult for clients to know what they are getting. Media Direction
will ensure the creativity we apply to conventional media also applies
to electronic media.’
