Leagas Delaney has set up an agency in Dusseldorf as it continues a

five-year European expansion plan.

The new agency, Leagas Delaney Dusseldorf, opened on 4 January. It has

appointed Hendrik Schulze from the Hamburg-based KNSK BBDO as managing

director. Karen Heumann, also from KNSK, joins as planning director. The

creative directors, Todd Schulz and Ralf Zilligen, move from their own

consultancy, which was called International.

The start-up will initially service Leagas Delaney’s pan-European

Nintendo account - Nintendo’s European headquarters are in Germany - but

the aim is to capture domestic accounts.

Bruce Haines, the Leagas Delaney chief executive, said: ’The main

emphasis will be on new business. Leagas Delaney has a high profile in

Germany because of Adidas and we aim to capitalise on this to attract

domestic business.’
