Leagas Shafron set to handle Royal Sun Alliance online task

Leagas Shafron Davis has been reinstated on the Royal Sun Alliance roster after missing out in the pitch for the insurance giant’s pounds 15 million corporate account.

Leagas Shafron Davis has been reinstated on the Royal Sun Alliance

roster after missing out in the pitch for the insurance giant’s pounds

15 million corporate account.

The agency has been appointed to handle creative work for Invest

On-Line, a division of the company that sells investment products direct

to consumers.

A national press campaign, backed by a budget of between pounds 3 and

pounds 5 million, will break in April. Media buying will be handled by

Zebra Media, Leagas Shafron’s joint venture with Zenith.

The business was awarded without a competitive pitch. Mike Davis, the

agency’s managing director, said: ’We don’t view this as a consolation

prize because it doesn’t come from the people who decided the fate of

the corporate account. It’s a fresh beginning with people we’ve worked

with in the past.’

However, the assignment does help to compensate for last year’s failure

to win the corporate account of the Royal Sun Alliance, the company

created when Leagas Shafron’s Sun Alliance client merged with Royal

Assurance. The business has been awarded to McCann-Erickson on a project

basis.
