This year he has directed the acclaimed Levi's "odyssey" and the new Barclays campaign featuring Samuel L Jackson.

Would you believe Glazer trained as a hairdresser in Wolverhampton.

MICHEL GONDRY

Career highlights Gondry was entered into the Guinness Book of Records for Levi's "drugstore", which has won a record number of awards including the Lion D'or at Cannes. His first film Human Nature, released this year, featured Patricia Arquette clad only in ginger body hair. He is now in pre-production on his second feature which will star Jim Carey. A prolific promo director, Gondry has also directed videos this year for The Chemical Brothers, White Stripes and Radiohead.

Would you believe Gondry studied graphic design in Paris but made money by drumming in a band called Oui Oui. He made his first videos for them on 16mm and so discovered his love of directing. He also has a passion for stripey socks.
