- The insurance company, Irish Life, has unveiled a new press campaign that uses images of the leader of the founder of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Ilich Lenin, to sell pensions.

The campaign, through Irish agency Des O'Meara, runs in the Irish Republic and features Lenin in classic pose looking forward while workers sit at his feet. The creative treatment apes the classic Soviet propaganda posters of the 1930s.

According to a spokesman for Irish life the campaign is targeted at companies interested in group pension insurance.
