The competing pictures, for brands ranging from Tanqueray Gin, Fairy and Kellogg's Crunchy Nut to Levi's, Pullman Hotels and Channel 4, will be pitched against each other in a final judging session in August.

Leo Burnett leads the ad agencies vying for prizes, with five shortlisted entries for Shelter's "house of cards" and the Department for Transport's "spilt drink" anti-drink-drive message.

It is closely followed by Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy with four for "lensmodern", 4Creative with three, and Lowe London, also with three nominations.

Finalists represent countries as disparate as Brazil, France, the US, the Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium and Canada, as well as the UK.

Winners will be showcased at a six-day gallery exhibition from Wednesday 9 September at The Print Space Gallery in Shoreditch.

There are 20 awards, encompassing 13 product sectors, three medium and effects categories, two multi-image campaigns, plus the Picture Library of the Year and the Campaign Most Powerful Image Of The Year gongs.

Entries were open to professional photographers and agency creatives who responded to an advertising brief.

The Print Space Gallery is at 74 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8DL. For more information and details of all shortlisted entries, visit www.campaignphotoawards.com.
