I felt obliged to respond to the debate over the Banks Hoggins O’Shea
and Pattison Horswell Durden split (Campaign, 27 October), because our
role in this decision is being misrepresented.
Firstly, we have gained business from Banks Hoggins because we offer a
service that best serves its clients’ interests and is helping it and us
to develop our business.
As a fully independent company, we accept business on our terms, but I
have no problem with offering clients a full service by agreeing those
terms in advance with our creative partners.
Our terms also mean direct contracts with clients for the payment of
media suppliers. We’d be mad to do otherwise.
