I read your news item on Dave Waters’ appointment as president of the
Creative Circle (Campaign, 17 November) with interest.
Indeed, as one who has spent my entire working life - some 22 years - in
the advertising industry, I am flabbergasted to find myself cast as that
romantic character, the ‘industry outsider’.
Having been a founding director of the Tape Gallery since 1981, a
company which produces soundtracks for over 6,000 commercials a year, I
have long since ceased to be a ‘new kid on the block’.
