Up-and-coming sprinter and aspiring Olympian Alex Haydock-Wilson meets Seb Coe, Olympic gold medalist and president of World Athletics, for a candid chat covering everything from girls and music to reaching one's potential.
Over the course of the 12-minute film, Lord Coe reveals his love of jazz, while 20-year-old Haydock-Wilson shares the "happy accident" of becoming an athlete and the challenges he faces both in and out of the world of sport.
Ewan Shepherd, director of Lexus UK, said: "Taking a drive with one of sport’s most powerful and progressive figures is always going to be interesting. By inviting Seb Coe to share his RX Hybrid with a young athlete who embodies the dynamic power and potential of a brave new generation, we captured something really fascinating."
The work was written by Chesney Payet, art directed by Leah Mammoliti and directed by Bluey Durrant.
Last year, Lexus launched a gravity-defying spot to promote its hybrid vehicle.
