Between the lines: Hard task for next IPA chief

A fly on the wall at the annual IPA Presidents' reception would see a depressing representation of the vibrant world of advertising, such is the preponderance of grey hair and testosterone. So news that the IPA may break its 87-year mould and appoint a media specialist, a DM expert or even a woman as its next president (see page 6) is to be welcomed.

Finding someone who is brave enough for the inevitable battle for the respect of the traditionalists, however, is another thing.
