Lipton Fleming has appointed another consultant to track down

quality sales executives following increasing demand from media owners

for more staff.

Daniel Brenchley joins the recruitment consultant’s six-strong media

sales division, which searches for candidates on behalf of press, TV,

radio and dotcom media owners.

Although Brenchley has worked in recruitment for the past two years, he

comes from a sales background and started out as a sales executive at

Emap.

Additionally, two media recruitment consultants have been brought in to

staff the agency division. Both Sally Davidson and Fiona McGrigor join

the company from the client side of the business. Geraldine Mitra has

also joined Lipton Fleming to head its graduate division.

As reported in Media Business last week, media owners are finding the

shortage of sales staff - especially those with over two years

experience - is reaching critical levels, largely due to dotcom

start-ups requiring large sales teams.

Beverly Fleming, managing director of Lipton Fleming, said the raft of

new appointments comes at one of the busiest times in the media

recruitment market’s history.

’The market is growing fast and there is a demand for staff at all

levels. New media is devouring the talent so we need more support to

unearth sales people,’ said Fleming.
