The A List 2007: Introduction

Congratulations. If you're in our A List this year, you can safely assume you've made it in one of the toughest businesses there is.

Once again the Campaign A List is a very special collection of the best the ad business has to offer. From our best creatives to the fittest TV negotiators, the best commercials directors and the digital wunderkinds, this is a run-through of the people shaping the communications industry.

Of course, each and every one of you is very special and, frankly, unique. But you do share some interesting characteristics. Like sex: a whopping 86 per cent of you are men. Five per cent of you are called John or Jonathan (the most popular name in our list). Fifteen per cent of you drive Mercedes (though it's probably just one of your several luxury cars). A tenth of you are Geminis. And two of you relay that your most humbling experience was being held at gunpoint.

Thanks to Kendall Tarrant for once again lending their support to what has to be the hottest read of the year. And apologies to those of you who didn't quite make the grade. It must be hard to accept being second best.
