Livesey will be managing the London operation, which looks after the UK and EMEA business; she will also hold responsibility for the creative recruitment practice. In addition, Livesey becomes a member of the company's worldwide board.
She joins the global recruitment company as it embarks on a major expansion push in the US, Asia and Latin America, across the advertising, integrated, DM, digital and media specialisms.
Gary Stolkin, the global chairman and chief executive at Kendall Tarrant, said: "We're growing rapidly in both the UK and our other offices as a result of a dynamic market for senior talent in the communications industry across the world. It is important we have the right people on board, with strong credentials in marketing communications to ensure we take advantage of that opportunity."
Livesey said: "The communications industry is going through a period of dramatic change and now, more than ever, the success of an agency lies in its ability to attract and retain the very best talent."
She joined RKCR/Y&R in 2004, and was responsible for running the agency's flagship Marks & Spencer account.
Before she joined RKCR/Y&R, Livesey spent five years at HHCL; she also worked for Lowe Howard-Spink.
