London Marathon: Four brand activations

Adidas, Lucozade and Bupa are among the big brand activations taking place at this year's Virgin Money London Marathon expo, which runs from 22-25 April at Excel London.

Adidas will be showcasing its Ultra Boost running shoe at the expo, and products from the official VMLM will be available for purchase. The sportswear and apparel brand will also be hosting fashion shows on multiple occasions each day. 


Head to stand 590 and pay a visit to the Bupa Massage Area, where you will find a team of qualified and experienced massage therapists. Here the focus is around preparing runners for their big race through the provision of stimulatory rather than deep tissue massages.


Competitors that are looking for race preparation advice as well as running and recovery tips can head to the Lucozade stand, where a handful of sports scientists will be on hand to provide expert advice and information. They can also collect their pace band from the stand and visit the Lucozade Sport shop to pick up a Marathon Survival Pack.

Friends and family members of competitors will also be able to record motivational messages at the stand, which will be displayed at Mile 23 of the race through large screens.

TRO is working with Lucozade to create experiences around the theme of ‘motivation’ across both the expo and marathon.

Virgin Money

Pay a visit to principal sponsor Virgin Money’s London Marathon Lounge, which will have refreshments including tea, coffee, sandwiches and pastries, and two stages. One stage is set to host a range of inspiring speakers each day, and the other will be an advice hub, where runners can go to gain information about how they can get the most out of their day.
