The duo will take up the positions of art director (Wilson) and copywriter (Driver) and offer extra creative firepower on all of the agency's accounts.
While at Lowe, the pair spent much of their time working on the Stella Artois account.
They were recently responsible for the "film" press work, backing the Stella Screen Live promotion, which won the gold award at the 2006 Campaign Press Awards.
The creative director at RKCR/Y&R, Ben Priest, said: "It's hard to find a middleweight team who are on the cusp of becoming great creative directors, but that's what these two are.
"The Stella 'film' work is the best press campaign to run in this country since I have been here, and my plan was always to try to hire them.
"With the accounts we have, and the business we picked up last year, we now feel that we have a deep enough book to offer them great outlets for their talent."
