- The internet search engine, Lycos, has launched a US advertising campaign aimed at getting both new and experienced internet users to visit the revamped Lycos.com website and make it their start page for the net.
The year-long brand-building campaign, created by Bozell Worldwide in New York, uses the line, "Go Get It" and the image of a black Labrador retriever called Lycos, who is adept at seeking out information.
The aim is to inform consumers that Lycos is the fastest and easiest way to find what they are looking for on the web. It also promotes Lycos' new streamlined look and enhanced directory.
The work will be fully integrated, using cable TV, radio, direct mail, outdoor, print and online advertising
