M&C adds Privilege to its RBS portfolio

M&C Saatchi has bolstered its relationship with the Royal Bank of Scotland by winning the creative brief on its Privilege Insurance offshoot's £25 million account. The appointment, confirmed this week, follows a pitch against several undisclosed shops earlier this year, when the agency was appointed for a trial period. During that time, it created the Joanna Lumley-fronted "You don't have to be posh to be privileged" TV campaign.

The assignment complements M&C Saatchi's existing business for RBS, which includes NatWest Bank. It also compensates the agency for its failure to land RBS's £35 million Direct Line business. MediaCom will handle media planning and buying.

Privilege targets around six million drivers with good safety records more than four years' no-claims discounts.
