M&C Saatchi has filled the international media director post, left

vacant by the departure of David Green, by hiring Paul Bay from Leo

Burnett.

Bay, who joined the agency on Monday, will take on a strategic planning

role and work chiefly on the British Airways account.

He will report directly to Andrew Sherman, the media director at M&C

Saatchi.

Bay, who has been a regional media director at Burnetts working on the

European McDonald’s and Reebok accounts for the past two years, will

have a more hands-on role than Green.

Bay said: ’It’s not often you join a company that has a such strength in

the advertising world, but is still developing its international

side.’

He will work with M&C Saatchi’s international offices in New York, Hong

Kong and Singapore and liaise with the agency’s media partner,

Optimedia, globally.

Bay will also work on Packard Bell across Europe and Asprey

internationally.

Sherman said: ’Bay started buying TV at McCanns, he ran a company in

Barcelona, and has worked internationally. It’s an interesting mix.’
