Marks & Spencer Financial Services has appointed five core agencies

and two supporting agencies to handle its account following a pitch in

April.

WWAV Rapp Collins, KLP, Marketing Advantage and Creative Leap, all M&S

roster agencies, will be joined by MBO Solutions. MBO has a track record

in financial services marketing, with clients including Nationwide

Building Society and First Active.

A spokesman for M&S Financial Services said that the pitch process

reflected the company’s decision to become more strategic.

Products include personal loans, the M&S account card, savings and

investments, and life assurance and pensions.

M&S aims to use each agency’s specialisation. Creative Leap is a

branding specialist, while KLP is strong on sales promotion and WWAV

Rapp Collins is the largest direct marketing agency in the five-strong

group.

The two supporting agencies, Black Sheep and One Agency, will work on a

project basis.
