Outdoor media group Maiden Group has struck a deal with ITN News Channel to display news clips, pictures and text on electronic bill-boards at London's Victoria rail station.
The service, claimed to be the first of its kind, is expected to go live within the next few weeks, with more screens being rolled out to other London stations within the next 18 months.
Eventually, Maiden hopes provincial stations will also be wired up to the service.
It is hoped the news service will attract advertisers, who will buy electronic poster space to be shown between clips.
ITN News Channel is a joint venture between ITN and cable TV operator NTL.
