- Arsenal may have won the double at the weekend but a TV channel dedicated to Manchester United would be more popular than one for Liverpool or Arsenal.
The results come as part of new Futurescope research carried out by Western International Media.
However, only 21 per cent of the general public said they are interested in dedicated football channels.
Of those who were interested in a dedicated channel, 40 per cent said yes to Manchester United, followed by Liverpool on 31 per cent, leaving the double winning North Londoners trailing on 22 per cent and Newcastle, their defeated FA Cup rivals, close behind on 20 per cent.
When those in favour were asked which programme types would be a turn-on, 20 per cent said they wanted more football matches while 35 per cent said they wanted more complementary programmes.
