Marcus Arthur has been appointed publisher of all five magazines in
BBC Worldwide’s Lifestyle group.
Arthur was previously the publisher of Good Homes, Homes & Antiques and
Gardeners’ World. He now takes responsibility for Good Food, where he
was once group ad manager, and Vegetarian Good Food.
In May, Arthur’s achievements in launching Good Homes and Homes &
Antiques were recognised at the Periodical Publishers Association Awards
when he was named publisher of the year in consumer magazines.
Arthur’s promotion follows last week’s appointment of Justine Southall
as group ad director across the Lifestyle titles. Both report to Seamus
Geoghegan, director of the Lifestyle group. Southall is in charge of the
ad revenue but Arthur has bottom-line responsibility for the titles.
