Marketer of London Zoo holds review of advertising activity

The Zoological Society for London, which markets London Zoo, is reviewing its advertising, media and below-the-line activities, and has begun talks with a number of undisclosed agencies about the task.

The Society's interests include London Zoo and Whipsnade Animal Park. However, part of its core business involves its role as a conservation charity, and the review procedure will also be looking for agency input into promoting this area of its activities.

Caroline Masters, the marketing manager for ZSL, confirmed: "We're looking for an agency resource to help support all areas of our activity."

Advertising for London Zoo had previously been handled by the integrated agency Curio, which ceased trading in July. SPS Advertising, which handles the Whipsnade Animal Park account, has been invited to repitch, as has the Society's incumbent media partner, Total Media.
