MARKETING MIX: Neil beefed up by three-goal Berger

Neil Copland from The Agency (Southwest) in Exeter edged a win in this week’s Football Crazy thanks to Sunday’s hat trick from Liverpool’s Patrik Berger.

Neil Copland from The Agency (Southwest) in Exeter edged a win in

this week’s Football Crazy thanks to Sunday’s hat trick from Liverpool’s

Patrik Berger.

Neil’s The Grecians side scored 40 points this week to head the weekly

league table just ahead of Stephen Gaunt from Autoglass.

After a quiet spell of late, Berger rallied his Anfield colleagues in

the 4-2 win over Chelsea to earn him Player of the Week - taking his

weekly score to 14 points. The IMC copywriter was satisfied that his

performance snatched the accolade away from awarding a third award to

Dennis Bergkamp.

In the race for the overall Football Crazy title, Bob Sullivan of Harlow

Butler has consolidated his position at the top, now six points clear of

Les Peacock from Judith Donovan Associates. For all this week’s player

scores and a guide to the points scored by all the players this season,

turn to page 64 or visit the Football Crazy pages on the Marketing Web

site at www.marketing.haynet.com. The up-to-date mini-league results are

also on that site, so surf away to see how you’re holding up against

your colleagues. To find out your overall position and make transfers to

your team, call 0891 400220 - calls will cost 50p per minute and all

profits go to NABS. Any changes you make will be valid for the following

scoring week.

This week’s top looky-likey is Mike (Galvo) Galvin (left), who combines

his account management career at Cable & Wireless with a striking role

for Wales and West Ham. For his classy ball skills and similarity to

John Hartson, Mike wins a bottle of champagne.

There are no matches this week due to the showdown in Rome, so there

will be no results in next week’s issue.
