Cavers will team up with his former Publicis Dialog colleague, Simon Marshall, the managing director of The Marketing Store, with whom he worked for six years.
In his new role, Cavers will aim to expand The Marketing Store's ability to work across various communications channels, with a focus on digital. The appointment is the second to be made by Marshall this year, following the hiring of Wendy Lanchin as the planning and strategy director in April.
Cavers has been at Chemistry since May 2007, during which time he restructured the agency's creative output to incorporate digital, direct and promotional marketing.
He has won numerous awards across his career, including a Cannes gold Lion and D&AD yellow Pencil for the HP "hype" campaign. Other awards include the ISP Grand Prix for the TfL Oystercard "auto top-up" campaign and ISP Agency of the Year for Chemistry.
Cavers was a founding partner of Limbo, the below-the-line agency that merged with Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He has also worked at TBWA\H Amsterdam and Payne Stracey.
